The two crosses represent the Tribe as Christian Munsee. The wolf is known to be the largest clan, teaching “family values and cooperation” which puts Kansas Munsees in this clan. The other two are turkey and turtle clans. The middle section which looks like a face is the Mesingw. It is the Lenape Mask Spirit, a powerful, sacred medicine spirit who maintains the balance of nature, appears to Lenape men in dreams, and is the focus of certain traditional Lenape religious rituals.
